Google Blocks Automated Rank Checking
Google has officially announced that they will no longer accept any automation tools scanning their search engine for website rankings.
Since last month most of the automated rank checking softwares have failed in processing queries on Google. Web applications such as link.ezer.com and Firefox Rank Checker are experiencing the same problems when performing automated rank checking providing false results.
WebPosition has also suffered and users are unable to check their rankings automatically in Google. According to ezBuisness Needs ‘Google has reportedly threatened to block WebPosition over the years and has even named WebPosition Gold in their SEO Guidelines as quoted :
Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs consume computing resources and violate our Terms of Service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as WebPosition Gold™ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google.”
WebPosition Support is currently waiting for Google.
Without the use of automated rank checkers, webmasters will have to manually go through search results to analyze the performance of targeted keywords.
On the other hand analysis of keywords' performance is a continuous process and a daily or monthly procedure. Using a manual method of checking rankings is time consuming. Without the automation technique, SEO managers will have to spend hours to check thousands of keywords, phrases to produce monthly reports for their customers.
